1890 Receives artistic training at the Académie Julianfrom the impressionists Alfred Roll and Henri Gervex

1892 Meets 3ò4mile Bernard and Paul Sérusier , shortly afterwards becoming a member of their artist group, Les Nabis

1888-1897 Spends the summers in Brittany with the other members of the Nabis group

29 June 1916 Dies in Alen?on, Orne
