17 October 1860 Roderic O'Conor is born in Milltown, Castleplunket, Co. Roscommon, Ireland

1879–1883 Studies at the Metropolitan School of Art in Dublin and at the Royal Hibernian Academy

1883–1884 Attends the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Antwerp

1884 Moves to Paris

1892-1895 Stays to Pont-Aven in Brittany where he worked closely with a group of artists around the Post-Impressionist Paul Gauguin

18 March 1940 Dies in Nueil-sur-Layon, France
