23 September 1865 Marie-Clémentine Valadon  is born at Bessines-sur-Gartempe, Haute-Vienne, France

1880 She becomes a circus acrobat

1883 Valadon poses for Renoir.  Gives birth to the boy, named Maurice Valadon

1884 Valadon begins to model for Toulouse-Lautrec

1893 She meets and impresses Degas

1894 Valadon becomes the first woman painter admitted to the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts

1896 Valadon marries to stockbroker Paul Moussis

7 April 1938 Suzanne Valadon dies and was buried in the Cimeti?re de Saint-Ouen in Paris
